Human-Digital Twins / Thinking Partners

AugTwins is a Human-Digital Twin (HDT) pipeline that models the reasoning style, knowledge base, and conversational patterns of a researcher to support early-stage ideation. It serves as a creative thinking partner that combines retrieval-augmented generation with multi-layered memory structures. A user can begin with a natural-language question or direction, and AugTwins constructs a context-sensitive response shaped by the research history, voice, and intellectual background of the person being modeled.

By giving users an interpretable and adaptive conversational partner, AugTwins is designed to illuminate possibilities rather than automate decisions. It helps researchers explore ideas, trace lines of thought, and reflect on their own reasoning in dialogue with a modeled perspective. This creates a space where generative assistance supports inquiry, encourages new connections, and keeps human judgment at the center of the creative and research process.
